This is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It's very well located, there is adequate parking, the staff was professional and helpful, and the price makes it all the better. The eagle claw tub in the Queen Suite was quite the surprise, very spacious! We checked out RX pizza, as recommended by the staff, and it was right on. For being a historical building LaSalle is very well maintained and the art deco decor is very fitting. This was my first trip to Bryan and I was very surprised and glad to find such a legitimately upstanding hotel. I highly recommend the LaSalle Hotel especially the Queen Suite.
This hotel is old recently restored and historic its location is in the middle of very nice downtown Bryan and convenient too many things including restaurants, coffee shops and nightlife. However, there is a train that runs right across the street periodically all night long. I had to go out and buy my own bar soap for my bathroom as the hotel was out and couldn't provide any
As we were looking for a new place to eat in Downtown Bryan we were surprised that there were no recent reviews on The 120 Kitchen & Spirits inside of The LaSalle Hotel. So after an amazing wonderful evening of excellent drinks, food, and service we are highly recommending this establishment. Rob was one of the best bartenders/servers that we have come across in BCS area. From recommended excellent vodka drinks to ensuring our food choices were served excellently as ordered to the final touches of dessert, Rob went above and beyond in his service. The food quality was above our expectations and for the price- above what we expected for serving size. We will definitely be back for our new 'favorites' in both drink and food categories.
The room was kinda small, but cozy. It's a very nice hotel, with a good location in Bryan. The rooms are not sound proof, so if you are a light sleeper people in the halls might wake you. They're pet friendly which is nice. My one main complaint is the showers. They're very small and they face an awkward direction that makes it hard not to get water on the floor. Other than that, great hotel.
There are other quirks associated with an old Historic Hotel that make it less than ideal, but my overall experience has been a good one.
Our room had thin walls and we could hear kids fighting in the next room. The room's telephone does not have a button for the front desk. When you press zero it rings and rings but when the front desk does finally answer; you can still hear it ringing in the background. The breakfast is terrible. Powdered eggs, over ripe fruit, very limited yogurt selection and a lot of fruit flies. The resturant mentioned and shown in the photos is closed.
