Great food, clean shop, and friendly staff. Don't pass up the lunch sirloin special. This is where the locals eat, so you know it's good - but show up early. This place stays packed!
The steaks are fantastic here. I've never ordered anything else so I can't comment on other main courses. There are a lot of sides to choose from but this place has Beefmasters in the name, not side masters. Order a steak, no more than medium doneness, focus on that, and you're not likely to be disappointed.
Large portions, low price, comfort food. The corn nuggets were amazing as were the fried mushrooms. The t-shirts of the staff were unique with individually picked Bible quotes and they were raffling off a 69 Corvette to benefit a school in Uganda.
My family and I enjoy going to Sodolak's for special occasions. Today was for my wife's birthday lunch. We arrived at opening time (11am) so service was a little slower than normal. The salads and rolls came out after the meals, which was odd, obviously indicating the fast flow of customers couldn't be kept up with. Dinner time seems more efficient. The food itself was very good. The steak is always cooked well. We get it rare, and it's usually on the money. The loaded potatoes were good. For the lunch special, I suppose they downsize their steaks and change their cut of French fries to not lose so much money on the special price. Green beans were good, cheeseburger was eaten quickly by my 7 yr old. For dinner here, I always get the chicken fried chicken. Its splendid! All in all, its worth a shot for dinner. Always busy, but not a long wait. Stop in!
This is a great place to eat and relax. The food is steaks and country cooking. They offer a wide variety of entrees ( chicken fried steak, fried chicken cutlets, shrimp, catfish, pork chops, and much more). The side dishes are excellent and varied- turnip greens, beans, broccoli cheese casserole, and more. The atmosphere is rustic country. Prices are very reasonable.
