This place rocks! I really injoy their food! Great customer service! Hometown cooking! People are friendly! Their specials are good also. I love getting steaks here. Their barbecue is over the top.
Cant go wrong with anything here. My favorite unique entrees are the salmon and ribeye. The ribeyes are thin and easily over cooked. We always as for one temperature less than we do at other restaurants and the temp comes out just fine.
Gosh I like this place! Food is good to great. They turn out an excellent steak! The BBQ is some of the best ever. You can go with a small meal- which is really quite large and filling- by ordering the meat and beans. Pick the meat, they put it in a bowl and you add the beans from the steam table.
No review is complete without mentioning the vegetables. The cream corn is a favorite but other selections include great beans, okra and stewed tomatoes, cooked cabbage and plenty of pinto beans. Additionally they have fresh cornbread daily with or without jalapeños and fresh white bread.
Everyone greeted me and kept greeting others, I felt welcome. $17 for a half pound plate, unlimited sides, and a Shiner. Place was clean. They have baked potatoes and good sides choices. Corn, pinto beans, and potatoes w onions were good. Kids working here talking about drama but they're keeping their language clean. The t.v. is kinda small and quiet, but they had football on. All employees seemed happy, which means good quality food is probable. Food was great.
THIS BBQ PLACE IS A VERY GOOD PLACE TO VISIT WHICH I DID EVERY TIME I AM AT TEXAS AM BALLGAME. HOWEVER I HAVE MADE MY LAST VISIT. I HAVE ASKED FOR MICH ULTRA LIGHT TO HAVE WITH MY MEAL EACH TIME AND THE LAST REPLY WAS "I DO NOT ORDER THE BEER GET SOMETHING ELSE". NO ! I WILL JUST GO SOME PLACED THAT HAS BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE.
