I took my dog there for bath, express glands and nail grind. Before I took my dog she was happy ,like always. I walked in while she was grinding my poor dogs nails and was holding her very ruff, pulling her back legs and holding her neck. Its been 2 days now and my poor dog is still not the same. I have missed work for very much needed TLC. I wonder what really did happen when I was not there. She has been to groomers in other places and has never came home so scared. 3rd day and still not really back to her normal self. Getting there, but still not herself, I've never seen my dog so skittish and scared. Never will I go back to this place again
Pups (Gizmo) first grooming. So he was not used to clippers. Gizmo came home with 2 cuts on his body, I was not aware of until we got home. Plus Amanda showed me (before we left the shop) that his nails were clipped to short & bled, front paw & back paw. Charged me $35! fabulous fur was going to charge $25.
I've been taking my dog, Buck, to Amanda twice a year for about 3 years now. She accepts appointments with little notice, and works with my crazy student schedule. She's affordable and always done a great job, she listens to what I want as opposed to other groomers who just do what they think will look good. There was only one time in three years that he had any knicks on him and she made sure to let me know before we left.
Amanda is a great groomer. We used her weekly for our dog Howdy. We moved to south Texas for a year moved back without Howdy. Left him with our daughter. She called and Howdy was killed by a car. He was 11 and we miss him. One day we will get another dog and will use Amanda as our groomer. She is sweet with dogs.
The grooming is acceptable. My 65 lb Elkhound is usually ready for pick-up in 4 hours which is great. The issue is that they have never been on time for their own hours the 4 times we have gone. Drop off is at 1000....However, her average time of arrival is 1030. When you try to call to see where she is at....she replies....running late be there soon. Not really an accountable grooming business. After 4 appointments...every 5 weeks....and we have had to wait in the parking lot an average of 30 minutes....we will be going elsewhere for our grooming needs.
