This is a skilled Dentist but has no people skills. I am a nurse and had an emergency one day when I had an appt. Apparently she is the only one that can have emergencies that interferre with appointments. I was told i couldn't come back. She discusses personal things with her patients like how mujch she has to pay for the items in her practice. This is totally unacceptable. This dentist has no flexability and really doesn't care for her patients.
The staff is absolutely amazing! Every one is incredibly nice and works very hard to make you feel welcome. I have a lot of dental work done here and it's all quality work. I have had no problems what so ever. I recommend this great staff and Doctor to every one.
Like the other poster, I initially chose Daftarian Dentistry because it had a website and wasn't that dentist with terrifying reviews. Several years later I can say that her office has exceeded my expectations in every way and I give them my absolute highest recommendation.
I moved my family to Bryan/College Station last summer for a job at A&M and chose the cheapest dental plan available (hello Delta HMO!). We were assigned to a dentist in College Station that frankly has received the worst reviews of any professional I have ever seen on Google (e.g., horror stories about unnecessary procedures not covered by the HMO, indifferent service, misdiagnosis - you can easily find the full reviews if you want more). According to the Delta website, this dentist was also the only one in BCS that accepted our insurance. Therefore, my wife and I put off visiting or taking our kids to the dentist and had essentially decided to just wait out the year until we could switch plans.
It was only after I really needed a dental visit and a phone call to HR that I found out that there were other dentists in the area that also accepted the TAMU HMO dental plan. I honestly chose Daftarian because they were the first practice that came up that had a website and I figured they had to be better than the alternative. Admittedly, I did not have the highest of expectations, just wanted a dentist that was competent and would not try to overcharge me.
Dr. Daftarian is an excellent choice for anyone who wants a skilled and conscientious dentist who charges fair rates and clearly explains the need for every procedure. She is also one of the nicest people you are likely to ever meet in any setting.
As I said earlier, I was absolutely blown away. I received dental care at its highest level. Everyone on Dr. Daftarian's staff is friendly and attentive and I spent very little time in the waiting room. Dr. Daftarian is a gem: very personable, knowledgeable, and possesses a great bedside (or would that be chairside) manner. She even discouraged more expensive and unnecessary treatments for which I was sure she would advocate. I was so encouraged, I just took my daughter and she was equally impressed (as much as a 4-year-old can be) and still loves going to the dentist.
Let me start out by saying I highly recommend Daftarian Dentistry. From Dr. Daftarian to the hygienists to the reception staff, I have been absolutely blown away by their attention to service and the quality of care.
During the first appointment, you receive a printed treatment plan with costs clearly listed for each treatment. I have had zero issues with my numerous treatments since I began seeing her several years ago. In all cases, she and her staff have been knowledgeable and highly competent.
All-in-all, I have been very impressed with Dr. Daftarian and her practice and I give them my highest recommendation.
Moreover, earlier this year Dr. Daftarian steered my spouse away from a more expensive course of treatment that initially seemed necessary. Considering the cost of dental care we really appreciated this gesture. After one particularly involved visit, we later received a followup call from the doctor herself. I have never had that happen before.
