I have had to wait several weeks to write this review just so I could calm down and write objectively. I went to Catwalk twice - the first time was for a very simple cut with Devery, who I found to be a bit obnoxious but that doesn't really matter to me as long as I get a good cut. The cut was okay - it was asymmetrical, which I had not asked for, but it wasn't too big of a deal so I gave him another shot. Huge, huge mistake. I was chopping a considerable amount of length off, and so I was quite nervous and trying to be very detailed about what I wanted with pictures - both things I liked about the cut in the photo, as well as photos of what I wanted to avoid. I also openly asked Devery if the cut I wanted was possible given my current hair (which was past collarbone length). Instead of responding like a professional, he proceeded to complain that my concern over what I didn't want my hair to look like was "personally victimizing him". Yes, that's a quote. Me calmly explaining what I didn't want for my haircut was personally victimizing him. He also went on a very loud, very rude rant about how as a hair stylist he should be allowed FREEDOM to perform his ART and clients shouldn't be telling him what they don't want their hair to look like. I SHOULD HAVE LEFT RIGHT THEN. I should have gotten up out of the chair and left. I didn't, which was a huge mistake. He butchered my hair. I seriously cried for days about it. Absolutely the worst cut I have every received, and nothing like ANY of the photos I showed him. When I returned to my office, all of my coworkers asked if I had "changed my mind" about the cut I wanted (since I'd shown them photos before I went to get it cut). Not only was it not what I asked for (and I do mean NOTHING at all), but it was a terrible cut. It was heavy in the wrong places, uneven, and choppy. And Devery was horribly rude, sanctimonious, and obnoxious the entire time. At the end of the session when he asked if I liked it, I was CLEARLY upset and said, "Well, I like the back-" and before I could go on to say anything else he started ridiculing me to the stylist in the next chair, saying "Oh here it comes, she likes the back but not the rest of it, psh" rolling his eyes. Please heed my review - I wish I had listened to other reviewers that had warned of Catwalk stylists doing as they please with your hair - do NOT take your business here. I ended up going back to my old stylist, that I LOVE and had only tried someone new since we moved deep into Bryan and it's a difficult drive to her place in College Station; she was able to fix it to be a decent cut, except to fix it she had to cut it all off so I now have a full-on pixie. From collarbone length to pixie all because of a rude, arrogant stylist who took his "artistic personal victimization" out on my hair. DO NOT EVER GO HERE. PLEASE, SAVE YOUR HAIR. Worst mistake of my life and if I wish I had recorded the entire thing so I could turn Devery in to the Texas Board of Cosmetology.
Beyanca did my wedding hair! Isn't she wonderful?! She is the perfect combo of sweet and fun, I wanted to stay longer!! Perfect relaxation and friendly service, I wish I lived in the area, she would be my stylist! My hair is LONG and THICK- Beyanca is a magic worker- It stayed up ALL DAY- (and I helped decorations and set-up) and it NEVER hurt or got heavy. THANKS BEYANCA!!! It's exactly what I wanted and better even!

I wish I had something nice to say about this place, but I never got the opportunity to be served. The place looked really nice and the 2 stylists working seemed nice, but they ran over on their previous appointments. My appt was at 7:15, but I arrived around 6:50 just in case they got done early. When I walked in, the male stylist nicely asked me to have a seat and he would be right with me. 30 minutes later and into my appointment time, he was only blow drying his client's hair. He would stop periodically to chat with her too, completely neglecting the fact that he had an appointment waiting for him. After almost an hour of waiting (and 40 minutes into my predetermined appointment), both stylists were still chatting away with their clients, so I left. I just wasted an hour of my life for no reason. I probably won't be returning here.
UPDATE: I have been very impressed with the owners of the salon and how they have responded to the situation with professionalism and compassion. My review above stands, but instead of a review of the salon please consider it a review of the specific stylist.
