My sister fell in love with the beauty of The Kyle House, NOT the SERVICE!!! and was about to make her deposit to reserve her date, May 29, 2010, how ever, Global Event Group, bought this veneue so they were the ones providing the service. Only one word can really discribe how they handled my sisters wedding, UNPROFESSIONAL, and I am writing this for any future brides, please think twice before renting this venue from them. Not counting how many times they changed thier mind about, what we could or could not do on the property, on the day of the wedding the was 2 places in the entrance with dog poop. They were late 2 hours to set up the chairs, then claimed that we only had 2 hours to set up before the wedding anyways... I was the made of honor, my sister told me sho wanted tulle and bows on the chairs before the guest arrive, becaues they were LATE TWO HOURS + I have to wait another 45min before I could ste up the decor, I had to put the tulle and bows up in 90 degree weather, in my nice clothes becaues I had no time to get ready afterwards becaues the guest would already have been arriving, then I had to sit through the ceremony, then help my sister gather all the families to take picuters afterwards, I was dehydrated, hot, and hurting and couldnt enjoy the 'okay' 'not bad' food,...and towards the end, when I am trying to lisen to all my families speeches and last words, the Jessica, the wedding planner kept tapping me, very ruddly on the shoulder saying 'I have to shut every thing down in 15min' agian 'everybody has to be out in 7min' and she wasnt even going to give me a to go box for the cake, so she only gave me one 'becaues I kept beging for one becaues I dont like to waste food that costs money' and I have to shove it all into that one box, and then they try yell at my sister over the phone ...when she trys to explain to them the mistakes they made on her wedding day, and the saddest part of it all is that that day, my sister can never take back, and not once did they aleast apoligize.
Global Event Group, renting out the venue at The Kyle House is VERY unproffessional!
My family and I enjoyed the recent event we experienced at the Kyle House. The home is beautiful and it is truly a BCS treasure. No other venue offered what the Kyle House did. Thank you Craig and Global for being part of our family's special day.
Please if you rent from Global Event Goup, have a copy of the contract, that they cleverly never gave us, and all of your recipts, and even if the wedding planner alows you, or tells to that its okay do do somthing like, move a side a table for you to dance, make sure you ask the wedding coordinator, and good luck with her responding to your e-mails or answering your phone calls...
I was very interested in having my wedding at the Kyle House. I sent my initial inquiry and it was responded to within a day or so. My second email went un-responded to for almost a week. I send a follow up email which never received a response either. Finally, I submitted a third email basically saying I am really mad what the heck?! That finally got their attention and I received and apology email and answers to my questions within about an hour. The experience left too sour of a taste in my mouth to even set up an appointment with them. My fiance and I decided to go with a venue that makes their potential clients much more of a priority.
The rumors are true. I recently visited the Kyle House with a friend and the owner was extremely rude. I will definitely NOT be booking this venue. Its a shame too; the property is beautiful.
