My only negative is the silliness about calling me a "pet parent". I respect the species and the individuals with whom I have shared my life too much to demean them by making them "children." To me, my pets are my friends. They grow into mature, wonderful, individuals of their own species and as adults of their species, I find the "pet child" reference offensive. I know most people don't, but maybe most people don't feel a kinship of equals with their pets? I don't know, I just know I lost a very special bird and these people made the loss a bit easier to handle. God bless them.

I cannot thank Pet Legacies enough for the caring and compassionate way that they picked up my little AngelBaby from our house on August 4, 2013. My heart was breaking and Cody seemed to understand how hard it was for me to let go of her. I appreciated that fact that there was no refrigeration process and that she was treated with dignity and respect. People who don't understand the connection and bond that you have with your 4-legged family members may scoff at the importance of the way their death is handled, but it was a great comfort to me. I will always appreciate the service and staff at Pet Legacies.

It was hard and it still is, but I'm glad that the funerary expenses and process were as easy as possible. Now that I am recovering, I appreciate just how well they did their jobs and how well they treated me. If the worst has happened to you, these are the people to go to.

A few months ago I had the worst day of my life. My kitty Vega escaped the house and was hit by a car, and did not make it. I was destroyed and did not think clearly in the slightest. Most of the following days are a haze, and I remember very little of it. But when I was able to get myself to do something I called Pet Legacies after a Google search for cremation services. My phone was not working, so I emailed and they got back to me extremely quickly.

From the original phone call to the final moments when I picked my Sheba up, the service was amazing. Such concern and caring from individuals who understood the grief I was going through. Every thing was handled with compassion and care. Will definitely use them again. I think the thing I appreciated the most was their ability to return her to me within 24 hours. Thank you Pet Legacies.

I had heard a lot about how unethical funeral services could be, so I was prepared to get ripped off. I was pleasantly surprised by Pet Legacies. The process was very simple and upfront. The cost was low and nothing came as a surprise. What they quote is what I was charged. In the state I was in, I could barely take care of myself, so I definitely was not able to protect myself from predatory business. They did not take advantage of this. They were extremely gentle with me, came over to my house and handled me and my deceased best friend with extreme care. A day or two later (again, I have a hard time remembering a lot of the details of that time period), they delivered the ashes to me.

I wanted to recognize Donna and Pet Legacies. Donna was so wonderful to my family. We had to put our 18 year old kitty Libby Riley to sleep Monday evening. Pet Legacies picked her up and delivered her to us the same day. From Donna's kindness and compassion to Libby's private cremation we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you so much. It has been so difficult for our family. I really commend you for creating such a wonderful place to honor your pets memory.

Losing a dear friend, especially unexpectedly as I expected my bird to outlive me, is extremely difficult. The people at Pet Legacies made it easier on me. They were kind, and understood that I'd shared my life with my bird and was feeling the loss very keenly. Patient, kind, sympathetic, good listener-- these are all true of the people I spoke to and who took my pet for cremation. I was emotionally quite fragile and they treated me gently.
