The proudest monkey has some of the best food around. The yuppie fries are hard to beat, and I'm not even a salad person but the taco-ish is super tasty, filling, and actually worth the money unlike some restaurant salads. The vibe is hip and relaxed, and there's a great selection of Texas beers. I've always had great service, even with a bigger group. The only reason I'm giving less than five stars is because there is no host, so you have to fight for a table yourself. This isn't a problem during the week usually, but weekends (and especially First Friday), it's impossible, and you'll find yourself just hovering around like a vulture ready to swoop in as soon as a table cashes out.
The menu is simple and the space is tight, but it offers a nice bar atmosphere. Stopping here would be nice during an evening in downtown Bryan.
As if that weren't enough, the service was outstanding and the ambiance was just right!
Stopped on a whim. Interesting food, good beer, nice atmosphere. Nestled between the historic Queen Theater and the Stafford Theater (formerly the Stafford Opera House).
Stopped in here for some dinner and a quick game with my spouse. Great little hole in the wall bar, with a small menu split between some offbeat taco choices and classic burgers. Fries are also exceptionally good!
Great food. I like that there are different things available to try. I had the Frankenburger. It was awesome. Y'all should really think about getting more swag. Especially for being a known pour house you should get stickers and patches and such. Y'all have an awesome logo. I would have bought a fitted hat and our a patch. JS.
